End-to-end fruit quality

Measure quality from tree to box.

FruitScan uses AI vision to measure size, weight, colour and defects on the tree, in cold storage and on the packing line. You plan, store and pack on measured data, and your buyers get proof.

Solutions

Built for every step your fruit takes

Start with the checkpoint that costs you most today, or connect all three.

Why end to end

Quality is decided in the orchard, at risk in storage and judged at the box.

On the tree

Sold blind

Prices and contracts are negotiated on a buyer's eyeball estimate of the crop.

In the bin

Opened blind

Chambers are opened without knowing their weight, colour or defect profile.

In the box

Packed blind

Boxes that miss the norms are found by the customer and paid for in discounts.

FruitScan puts a measurement at each of these points. Each checkpoint works on its own, and together they give you one continuous quality record from orchard to dispatch.

Orchard Assessment

Grade your crop while it's still on the tree

A guided scan with an Android phone gives you the size, weight and colour mix of the crop before a single fruit is picked.

  1. 1
    Capture

Anyone with an Android phone walks the rows and records guided videos.

  2. 2
    Measure

AI estimates each fruit's size, infers weight and reads colour.

  3. 3
    Grade

Fruit roll up into size and colour bands per block or farm.

  4. 4
    Report

A certified grade-mix report with video arrives in minutes.

  • Pre-sell and negotiate on measured grade data
  • Allocate early to export, retail, wholesale or processing
  • Plan labour, packing material and cold storage to the real mix
  • Give lenders and insurers documented crop value

Bin Scan

Know what's inside every bin in your cold store

A stereo camera scans apple bins as they go into storage, so you know their weight, colour and defects without tipping or hand-checking a single bin.

  1. 1
    Capture

An external stereo camera scans bins as they are stored.

  2. 2
    Measure

Stereo depth gives size and weight; AI reads colour and defects.

  3. 3
    Record

Every bin gets a profile that rolls up to the chamber.

  4. 4
    Plan

Decide which chamber to open first, and sell against real stock.

  • Estimated fruit weight per bin
  • Colour profile of the stored fruit
  • Share of fruit with visible defects

Package Monitoring

Stop wrongly packed boxes before they ship

An Android phone above each lane of your sorting machine checks the fruit going into every box and alerts you the moment a box breaks your packing norms.

  1. 1
    Capture

An Android phone is mounted above each sorter lane.

  2. 2
    Measure

AI estimates the quality and colour of fruit in each box.

  3. 3
    Check

Results are compared with the norms set for that box.

  4. 4
    Alert

A box outside norms raises an alert, fixed before dispatch.

  • Fewer post-delivery discounts and complaints
  • Buyers consistently get what they ordered
  • Every box checked, not a spot sample

Technology

How FruitScan sees every fruit

Ordinary video becomes a measured 3D model of the orchard, so each fruit's size and weight come from geometry, not guesswork.

DetectAI fruit identification

Every visible fruit is found in the video, frame by frame.

ReconstructPatented 3D reconstruction

Depth and distance are recovered from video, the way two eyes judge distance.

CalibrateAgro-climatic density profiles

Fruit density models are tuned to the growing region and conditions.

WeighFruit-by-fruit weight

Each fruit's weight is calculated individually, in grams.

GradeRepresentative grade mix

Scans are sampled so the grade mix stands for the whole block.

FAQ

Questions we often hear

My team already checks quality by hand.

Hand checks cover a small sample and depend on who does them. FruitScan measures far more fruit, the same way every time, and keeps the evidence.

Do I need to buy equipment?

On the tree and on the packing line you only need Android phones. Bin Scan uses an external stereo camera.

Will my buyers accept the results?

Orchard reports come with the video each number was measured from, so a buyer can check the work instead of taking it on trust.

Can the orchard scan run on drones?

Yes, the capture setup can be mounted on drones if required. A phone scan is the simpler default: no permits or pilots, and it gets close enough to measure true size.

Does it work on my crop or variety?

Apple runs across all three checkpoints and pomegranate on the tree. New varieties and crops are calibrated before launch.
